The favourite place of Prague Segway Tours

The Prague's favourite place of the Prague Segway Tours staff is a LENNON WALL - not only because the wall is about 150m from the office but also because is a symbol of freedom, love and the most popular place of our Segway visitors / riders.

At Prague's Kampa near Charles Bridge, on Grand Priory Square (VelkopÅ™erovské námÄ›stí), is colorfully painted wall, symbolizing the tomb of the famous frontman of legendary band The Beatles - John Lennon (died on 8th Dec, 1980). The wall became a place where people look up with admiration to the world-famous music icon, but also a place where people express their opinions and protests again the communist regime.

In the past was the garden wall known as the "Wailing Wall". That's because on the plaster of the walls the people pour out their hearts, and left various messages in a row, or love poems. The communist regime did not accept it, however, so the wall was painted several times.

The wall is changing day by day with the new texts and paintings, and thanks to benevolent owners, order the Knights of Malta, can everyone leave their message here, of course, on the theme of love and peace. Original painting of John Lennon is unfortunately lost beneath dozens of layers of the past.

We are looking forward to show you this special place during one of our sightseeing tours on Segway wheels around Prague - just ask for it.
